TROPICAL LIMERENCE
Tropical Limerence aims to create a comprehensive space for women free of prejudice, reaching a more powerful narrative before the eyes of a society with so many retrograded, conservative ideals. The process of casting each interviewee’s hands will be documented with the intention of creating a ritual for sanction, liberation, empowerment of their emotions and own being.
An integral part of my work is being in constant touch with my identity. As a woman, one of my missions in society is to use my work as a voice that harmoniously joins the chorus of genre equality.
Project MISSION
The project entitled "Tropical Limerence" advocates to end violence against women and gender equality. In the Caribbean, notably in the Dominican Republic, a high percentage of women die because of domestic violence. In a country blessed by Mother Nature with beautiful tropical forests and sun kissed beaches, there is a contrast of prolific corruption and sadness in which a patriarchal shadow dominates and extinguishes the power of women.
